We are here in Memphis and loving it. David's classes start Monday and I have my first class on Monday night. We are excited. We are almost completely unpacked and organized. We started with our routines this Monday so we could be prepared for the actually first day of school. The campus apartments are so nice. We have already met a lot of students and wives and have been welcomed warmly. Tough roads are ahead, so keep us in your prayers. We welcome them, but have a healthy fear of them. I plan on uploading pictures as soon as I find the camera attachment thingy.

Have I been a bad blogger or what. I was afraid I didn't remember my password to post on here it has been so long. I don't even know if anyone checks this anymore, but I thought I would post and see.

By way of catching those of you not on facebook up, we are moving. We are relocating to Memphis, TN in August so David can attend the Memphis School of Preaching. We were all a little shocked by this announcement, but I am so excited. We have about one fourth of our support and are looking for more. We went to the lectureships at the end of March and are really looking forward to our time there. I hate to wish my life away, but I do want it to come quickly. David has about 16 more days teaching high school and he is looking forward to being done. It is a bittersweet move, because we love our church family and will miss everyone, but we know we are going into a field that is much needed and very rewarding. I don't worry about David. I know he will be a great preacher, but pray for me that I can be a good preachers wife. I have known some of the best, so I have lots of great examples to follow. We all need prayers to get through what will be a very tough 2 years, but probably the best 2 years also.

Micah is getting so big. He is 31/2. I want a sibling for him so bad, but can't complain with all the blessing I do have. He looks a lot like me, but acts just like David. He is funny and crazy and we love him so much. He does things sometimes a I just have to laugh at how much he is like his daddy. He has two blisters on his pointer fingers, one on each, from playing golf in the yard. He got them and broke them at the same time, because he wouldn't stop playing long enough to get a bandaide. He is so fun.

I hope that I will be a better blogger in the future.

We are weathering the storm nicely. We decided to ride it out at home since it wasn't suppose to come our way. We actually thought it would still be worse than it is. We have had some rain, but not what we expected. Thank you to all who offered to open your home to us and for those who called to make sure we were safe. More thanks to those who prayed for our safety. It is still lingering a little with some rain so we haven't been outside to really look at anything, but we don't expect damage. Love to all.

Nothing major is happening in the Dixon household at the moment, but I added a few pictures for you to enjoy. Micah is getting so big and I know a lot of his family wants to see more of him so I will try to take more pictures. The problem with that is most of the time he runs around naked so I don't take a lot of random pictures. He is a HAM though so I will try to get him singing or going over his Sunday school cards in the near future, I know Bop Bop and Nanna would love that.

If you haven't looked at David's blog in a while you need to go to it and look at the massive fish he caught in our pond behind our house. It was awesome. He knew he had it and told me to get ready. When the monster jumped out of the water I screamed out loud. It was so big it sounded like a dog jumping in the water.

YEA!!! We got a new camera. Maybe I will update more often now. Maybe I will change my profile picture since that was at Micah's 1st b-day party and he will be 3 in November.

Potty update:
We have now poo pooed in the potty twice by himself. I am so excited. He gets very excited and says "yook, it's a big one" every time. We cheer and go crazy over it. The things you do as a parent.

Yet again it has been a looooooong time since I blogged. Potty update. I can't believe it, but Micah will now peepoo (as he calls it) in the potty. I am so blessed!!!!!! He only wears diapers at night and at nap time. That is our new news. He is growing everyday and changing so much. He is really talking well now and counts to about 12. He loves to sing and lead the Books of the Old Testament at church at our last month singing. He was right in the mic and I was laughing so hard I could hardly sing. It was also quite sweet and brought happy tears.
I will try to be a better blogger. We will see how it goes.

Potty Training

Wow! Micah is doing so well, I can't believe it. For the past two days we have been accident free, minus a little #2 yesterday morning. It wasn't messy, but I don't expect that to be easy for him. He went to church last night in his undies and no mess. Today we even left the house and went all over town with no problems. I don't know why he is doing so well, but I am thankful. We have run to the potty about 20 times today, but I think it is the #2 that he can't quite get the feel for yet. Now that I have blogged about it he will problem have a bad day tomorrow. I am just so amazed and excited that he has taken to it so quickly.

WOW have I been a bad blogger or what!!!!! Our camera is not doing well. When we take pictures they always come out very dark. It is very upsetting.
Christmas was great. We spent time with both sides of our family and really enjoyed our time with them. Not much else if going on with us right now. Micah has started potty training and is doing well. We are not real consistent, we having had much home time to be very serious. We do not push him, but he is very interested himself so we go with it. He loves wearing his Thomas underwear, and not to be gross, but I think he looks so cute in them with is little legs. Moms understand I'll sure. He is very sweet and we are having a blast. We hope to add to his playmates soon, but we have been hoping for that for about a year and a half now so who knows. Keep us in your prays as you are all in ours.

Today is Micah's 2nd birthday and I am sad to see him growing so fast. I love watching him grow and am enjoying every milestone, but it is bittersweet. He is so loving and fun. He has a great personality and laughs at most everything. He will for no reason run up to us and hug or kiss us at anytime. When he does this however you have to get on to him to make him stop kissing you. Plus then you are covered in salva.

He has recently started running around the couch and yelling "Go Mikey" or "Yea Mikey" and when football is on "touchdown". It is our new favorite thing. Very funny. He also has become an Auburn fan. I thought I had him won over, but he says War Eaeale anytime he see football or the AU on anything. He even does the hand thing. He also does it a lot in the car or the tub or Winn Dixie or when ever he gets the notion. Then he cheers for himself. He has daddys self esteem.

He has also started voices. He love to sound gruff and will try to talk deep. It is so funny or as he says fo, fo, funny. He also loves to make funny faces. He is an entertainer for sure.

We love him so much and don't know what we would do without him. He keeps us in stitches.

Thanks to all of you who have supported me and my teammates so far, but there's plenty of you who have intended to donate, but have procrastinated!! Well, now is the time. If you don't know already, I'll be walking sixty miles over three days in October in the Breast Cancer 3 Day. My mother in-law, Becky Dixon, died of breast cancer when she was just 45. Our team is named Becky's Bunch in memory of her. My two of my sister-in-laws, and my mother is on the team.

The first camp was Indian Creek Youth Camp. He led his first song, The B-I-B-I-B, which the rest of the world knows as The B-I-B-L-E. And yes we only carried the camera around this day.

This summer has flown by and we stayed very busy. I will try to put some pictures up of the different things that have happen this summer. We did go to two camps which was very fun, but very tiring. Micah had a blast as he always does. He really is a good kid and takes everything in stride.

This year has flown. Christmas was fun and Micah had a good time. He loves opening presents. After having 3 b-day parties he knew what he was doing. Bags are his favorite, because he likes taking things out of bags, he also likes to carry the bags around.
One day I will get the pictures of x-mas off the camera and put them on the computer and then post them. Hopefully before he is 2. I know I haven't posted well, but with the holidays and our computer on the fritz it was hard. However I got a new desktop computer and love it.
